First Day of Classical Conversations

Summer fun is over and now time for school. I took a break from blogging this summer. Last Tuesday was Abigail's first day of Classical Conversations. It our homeschooling class and she liked it. She would much rather play, but who wouldn't? ha ha She starts Pre K this Weds and I'm nervous for that one. I hate being away from her even if it's just a few hours.

One of our favorite places to go is a park called Suson Park. It has farm animals, fishing, and a playground. What more could you ask for? It also is a great place for photos. Yay!! We made it through her 1st year of school! I am excited to move on yet sad my baby is growing up. We will miss her amazing teacher Mrs Winston. I hope all her teachers are that great! It was an exciting day in the Williams house today...guess who got her 1st freckles! They are so cute! She has a few on her nose and cheeks but too faint to capture. She is so excited! :) (Mommy is too)

The Butterfly House

Sunday was such a nice day so headed to the Butterfly House in Faust Park. It was so much fun! My camera kept fogging up so I had to take photos with my iphone. I apologize for the quality. Abigail loves butterflies and had a blast! Then we had some fun at the playground and shopping at the mall. We had a great day!

Lazy Days

We had a very lazy weekend. Abigail is sick AGAIN so we just stayed in all day Saturday. Sunday was supposed to be a fun day at the Magic House but I didn't think it was appropriate to go with a cold. Our favorite back up for anything....shopping and ice cream. Abigail loves Target! I mean is inlove, wants to go daily, kind of love. We were in there forever! Then we hit up a few more stores and went for ice cream. My cousin was in the area so she met up with us. Nothing special but a good girls day.
We have decided to homeschool Abigail next year. I have been thinking about it for a year now but was very apprehensive. Next year is Pre K due to her bday. If it doesn't work out, she'll still start the following year. I am so excited about this and hope it's right for our family.
Abigail has a PJ and pizza party at school tomorrow so I'll blog tomorrow with all the fun details. :)

Why so negative?

Today I had a talk with my good friend Kelly about negative people. Lately it seems like everyone is grumpy and negative. It's so toxic to be around those kind of people and almost contagious. Life is so short and I don't get the point of it. I'm not happy 24/7 and no one is but I'm talking about the people that are the majority of the time. If you have a wonderful family, beautiful children to look at, food on the table, and a roof over your head...what's the problem? It could all be taken away in seconds and sometimes we forget that. I am making a point to take a step back, look at my life, and thank God for it!

I have been buying lots of cute outfits for the spring! I am seriously in love with all this cuteness. The outfits pictured are Gymboree, Misha Lulu, MimpPi, and Crew Cuts. After Abigail's bath tonight, she actually let me play dress up with her. lol I had to let her with with my iphone though for doing it. I am also in serious ebay mode right now. I have to clear out some of the clothing and toys. I feel like I'm drowning in it all. Plus it funds the new wardrobe. I just wish things were selling better.

Ice Skating

Abigail has been asking for months to go ice skating. I do not do anything that has the word skate in it. ha ha! Abigail's best buddy Cole and his parents go ice skating often. They invited us to go Sunday and she was super excited. Cole's mom Angie took her on the ice and she did great Her face had a smile on it and she didn't fall. She lasted all of about 2-3 mins and she was done. I asked her what she didn't like about it and she said the ice. lol Okay, tried it and hates it, moving on. Atleast I got to capture a few photos and I had an occasion for her to wear the Janie and Jack set. I picked it up on clearance for like 25.00 and have been waiting for the perfect occasion since it has snowflakes on it. Maybe I should put this much though into my clothing. :) I leave you with photos of the much hated ice skating.

My baby is now playing soccer and loves every minute of it. She gets to see her friend Nate every week there so it's even better! I've been neglecting this blog lately because it's been so crazy. Abigail has been nonstop sick too. Just got over Strep Throat and an Upper Resp Infection. We are also looking into starting a class at the Little Gym. We did Gymboree for years and loved it. It just doesn't work with her schedule now and she has basically aged out. I miss it. :( I can't believe my baby is 4! She is growing up way too fast!

Gymboree and I have been in a crazy relationship for the past couple of years. We used to really be in love but something happened. I fell out of love and gave my heart to another. I guess you could say we are in marriage counseling now because I'm feeling the love again. This line is SO cute and I know what my Gymbucks are buying. It's time to start picking out Spring clothes. Yayy!!! It's around 5 degrees here so looking at the bright, beautiful clothing gives me something to look forward to. Here's a few things on my want list and I have many more. The websites won't let me "borrow" their photos. Lemon Loves Lime is the big winner again this year. Abigail loved the comfy tank/ruffles short sets last year. They are gorgeous and different then what you would see in a mall. I'm off to shop today and I'm sure I'll be back later to post my finds. :-)

A Wonderful Christmas

This year was the best! It really was. Abigail really is a joy to watch. She was so excited the night before. We put out the Magic Key for Santa and the milk and cookies. The next morning her face was light up with excitement. It is the best feeling to see your child so happy and excited! We spent the morning with just us 3. Our wonderful little family! Then off to see the rest of the family. All in all it was a wonderful Christmas! I hope everyone had a special time with your families.

I took Abigail out to get her Christmas photos done yesterday. It's so hard to get a pretty natural smile out her. You have to make her laugh really. The lady that took the photos thought she could make a 4 yr old laugh the same way you make a baby laugh. Oh well! Atleast we got a few good ones. Crafts and Christmas Program

A few days ago, Abigail and her friend Cole went to an Art Studio. She made a snowman and he made a star. It was such a great idea and they had so much fun!

On Sunday she had her school's Christmas program. It was the cutest thing I have ever seen. I was getting all sentimental and proud as I was watching her singing her very 1st school program. She was very proud of herself too. I had to snap a photo of Abigail and her teacher Mrs. Winston. Abigail talks so much about her and really loves her.

I started this blog to talk about Abigail's life and fashion. Lately, I have forgotten the fashion. I will go back to giving details on her outfits. I know Milli wants to know. :-)

She wore a TCP skirt and the sweater and top are from Janie and Jack's Uptown Holiday line from last winter. I love when she gets to wear something 2 yrs in a row!

It's Christmas time in the Williams home!! We spent all day yesterday decorating the outside and inside of the house. Now it feels like Christmas! :-) Abigail loved it of course and put all the ornaments on the bottom. lol She said "what do you think? " I said "Baby it's perfect!" She is very proud of her hard work. She also painted some ceramic ornaments that I picked up for her. I need to take some pics today of them. Overall it was a great family day! I love this time of the year!!!!!

We were going to have the big traditional dinner at my family's house then Abigail came down with a cold. She woke up this morning not feeling well and I didn't want to get anyone else sick or have her miserable and not at home. We have plans for dh's family tomorrow, so I hope she's better. I have to have some turkey!!! lol Jason's sister, husband, and daughter are in town from Michigan and Abigail loves her cousin Jessica!
I have a lot to be thankful for right now. We had a rough year but truely are blessed. Last November 7th Jason was laid off. I have no idea how we made it and still have our home. He just started working about 8 weeks ago and I feel that God dropped that job in his lap. And I thank him daily. We have our family, our health, home, love for God and each other. It truely is a Happy Thanksgiving!

Lately it seems everyone has a comment to make about Abigail sleeping with me. I don't understand why people feel the need to voice their opinions especially when they are negative. I remember when she was around 6 months everyone was saying she needed to learn to go to sleep on her own. "Let her cry it out" I believe is what they said. I'm sorry but at 6 months old babies don't need to cry it out or comfort themselves. All they need to know is when they need their mommy, she's there. I still feel that way now even though Abigail is four. It such a short time that they what to cuddle, why not enjoy it? I know eveyone parents differently, but I would never say anything negative about how someone parents their child. What has me thinking about this is that I have baby fever really bad. We have been talking babout having another baby. I have been thinking off all the things I would do this this time around. Sleeping arrangements would not change. That's my opinion for the day. lol :-)

Today was such a good day! Abigail and I went over to my friend Beth's house. She and I have been friends since 2nd grade. She was my Maid of Honor at my wedding, I love her to pieces. She has two children, Alexis and Anthony whom my daughter loves to pieces. Abigail had a blast playing with them and I had a great time talking to Beth.

sigh Christmas Shopping

I started Christmas shopping earlier this week. I only got the few items pictured plus some My Little Ponies and cars and it was already 230.00. I am going to spend a fortune this year! Abigail was just making out for list for Santa and so far I did good. yayyy for Mommy! :-) She still wants 15 other items. Plus I have one other big items for her that I am trying to get, a Bamboletta doll. When does it stop? Please tell me I'm not alone in this madness.

Playdate and making a new friend

We had another park playdate with Abigail's best buddy Cole. They have such a good time together. I keep saying they will get married one day. They are too cute together!

After the park we went to the Mall for some shopping and mommy/daughter bonding. Abigail is a great shopper! :-) She picked out a dress at Gymboree. It's very pretty and of course I couldn't find her size anywhere. A wonderful friend, Marla, who I met on LLS, picked it up in KC and is shipping it. I have met the nicest, most generous ladies on LLS. THANK YOU MARLA!!!! And here's the dress......

Abigail has been really wanting to make Frosty the Snowman at Build a Bear. I finally caved in and she is in love with him. :-) It was her turn for Show and Tell this week at school and she brought him. I'm sorry to all the parents that have to go to make one now. lol

Overall it's been a great week so far. I hope it gets even better!

Grandparent Day

Weds was Grandparent day at Preschool, so Paw Paw went to school. :-) Abigail was SO excited! They made a turkey picture together and had Teddy Grahams. Does it get any better than that? I love how close my father is to my daughter. It gives me a wonderful feeling to see the bond they have. I was close to my grandpa and I miss him a lot! Thank God for grandfathers!

I have been MIA for a few days. Abigail had a virus and was running a fever and headache for a few days. She is much better now. :-) Things are still crazy around here with the one running car and Jason on days. Still playing musical cars. Nothing too exciting this week. We went to the pumpkin patch today. Abigail had a blast. It's nice to do things with just the 3 of us. We carved one of our 6 pumpkins this evening. I guess we'll be busy carving this week. ha ha! I'm off to read her that Fancy Nancy book I promised. I leave you with some outfits from this week.

Musical cars and musical phones

What a day! Jason is training on days so he needs my car. Our other car is dead so we are a one car family until we buy a new one. Abigail has school so my dad drive all the way out here to take her to school. Then we drove 30 miles to his work and I kept his car. Then I drove the 30 miles back to my neighborhood, picked her up from school and baked cookies. yum!!! Then I had to drive back to my dad's work to give him his car back and then Jason met us there. Jason also took my cell phone so I had to borrow my dad's incase of an emergency with Abigail at school. The whole day was out of sync. It worked out fine though and I love my dad so much for all he does for my family. He is the best!!! This week is "black" week at her school. She wasn't cooperating well for this photo. Both pieces are from Gap btw. The bow was made by a wonderful lady I know from a message board, LLS. Her company is Simply Bowdacious and I highly recommend her! I apologize for dirt in my door in this photo. We never use our front door and was mortified. I cleaned it as soon as I got home. lol

Abigail and her buddy Cole went to the park. It was a chilly, but pretty fall day. I love taking photos in Fall b/c the leaves are so pretty. Abigail really enjoys her playdates with Cole and was very excited. I enjoy my conversations with Cole's mom, Angie. We agree on a lot and it's nice. After we went by and saw my dad, Abigail's paw-paw. And then stopped by Jason's mom's and she played with Grandma for awhile. It was a nice day. :-)

I miss Daddy!

My husband has been laid off for a very long time and just started his new job today. Abigail has become used to having Daddy home to play with her. We started out this morning with a tea party and "I miss Daddy". Then we played with her Scooby Doo action figures and more "I miss Daddy". As the day went on, she got better. I then became obsessed with cleaning. We started going through her toys. It's embarrassing and a mess! I took some photos to document this hellish time. ha ha! I am making a promise to myself to become more organized and not buy so much junk for Abigail. This is just crazy! Jason compains about the toys and I'm sure will be happy to hear my promise.

BTW he loves his new job! :-)

Fall, Halloween decorating, and Christmas jammies

I am falling behind on my blogging again. I still have my fingers crossed for some readers. :-)

We have been decoating the yard for Halloween and getting very excited. Every night we take a walk around the subdivision before bed, to look at everyone's decorations. She had to wear her Zebra coat and Christmas jammies. She throw a huge fit at Target to get those too. Obviously, she won.

This week was orange week at her school. She got to wear my favorite Halloween/Fall outfit. It's from Janie and Jack several years ago. It took me forever to find it but it was like Christmas morning when I did. ha ha! Why do I get so excited about my daughter's clothing? Honestly, I wouldn't change a thing. I love it! She also wore another favorite. It's from Gap last fall, Boho line. We love decorating our home and Abigail for Halloween.

I went shopping yesterday and I am so proud of my purchases. I went into Janie and Jack and I haven't been there in a long time. I haven't liked much from there lately. I also went to Gap for the Deauville line. I love black for little girl clothes. ADORABLE!!! I am going to Gymboree tomorrow to try to like their black and white line. Sometimes I miss my love affair my Gymboree. What happened? We were so good together. lol Abigail wouldn't cooperate for a fashion show so I'll try tomorrow.

Our friends Pat, Adrian and their daughters Alivia and Sofia bought Abigail this scooter for her bithday. It was love at 1st site. What could be better than riding a scooter in the Christy and stripe leggings from Matilda Jane's Gypsy Blue line? Abigail, Jason, and I are in love with this fall weather. We our outside daily and take walks around the subdivision every night to look at the Halloween decorations. I love the smell of fall air! :-)

I am so terrible at blogging. Thank goodness no one reads this so I am not letting anyone down. ha ha! Abigail turned 4 on Sept. 22. I can't believe I have a 4 year old!! It seems like I just brought her home from the hospital yesterday. So sad, sob.. sniff..sniff. She had a Scooby Doo party and it was a blast! She was very happy and had a great time. She goes to preschool on Mondays and Weds. from 9-11:30. On Tuesdays she has her Gymboree class from 12:15-2:15. I am thinking about puttting her in a soccer class. She really loves soccer and is pretty good at it. I also love the idea of her running around burning off energy. I feel like we are always in the car going to school, a playdate, or running errands. I am promising to make more time to write this blog that no one will ever read besides me.

I have made several attempts to start a blog. I think I've got it figured out now. ha ha! I have a beautiful daughter named Abigail. She is almost 4 and my whole world. I feel like all I do is talk about her and what she's wearing. I know there are other moms out there that care about children's fashion too. Right? I guess I can talk to myself here and hope someone reads it and relates. Maybe I need to enter a 12 step program? Hi! My name is Casey and I'm addicted to shopping for my daughter. :-)
